Installation Instructions

The Green Gator Filter™ is easily adaptable and expandable to meet a wide variety of installation types quickly. The two most common installation methods are hanging and floor mounted. Please see our recommended set-ups below for details on proper exhaust and recirculating system builds for floor or hanging installations.



Recommended Exhaust Set-Up:
6” Green Gator Filter with 400 CFM (680 m3/h) Fan
8” Green Gator Filter with 800 CFM (1360 m3/h) Fan
Recommended Recirculating Set-Up:
6” Green Gator Filter with 400 CFM (680 m3/h) Fan
8” Green Gator Filter with 800 CFM (1360 m3/h) Fan

Floor Installation

Step 1: Attach Collar to fan by inserting fan into Compression Collar. The fit should be snug. If needed, a band clamp can be added (not included)
Step 2: Connect the Fan to the ducting system and your system is now set up

NOTE: This system is designed for most industry standard fans. You may need to purchase straight duct and recducers or enlargers to accomidate fans that are not industry standard.




Hanging Installation

Step 1: Hang the Fan
Step 2: Bend integrated hanging tabs out and attach to a hanging cable (not included). Be careful when bending, you do not want to overbend the hanging tabs. Connect tabs to cords or hanging device and hoist.
Step 3: Connect the fan to the filter by inserting it into the quick compression collar. The fit should be snug. If needed, a band clamp can be added (not included). Your system is now set up.
